The WAIODA committee are seeking expressions of interest from Western Australian Optimist sailors who are keen to attend the 2025 Musto Australian Optimist Championship. The event is open to Green, Intermediate and Open fleet sailors.

The event is scheduled for Friday 10 to Friday 17 January 2025 and hosted by the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron. 

Once we have an idea of numbers, we will bring everyone together to plan for the event.

Items for discussion include:

• the logisitcs of taking our own boats versus chartering boats
• organising a team coach and a coach boat
• team uniform/t-shirt
• sponsorship and fundraising
• training camp in Perth in December
• training days in Queensland prior to the start of the event
• teams for Team Racing event
